Cement plant on stream for 2016 commissioning

Supplier of cement and related products PPC Barnet Democratic Republic of Congo’s (DRC’s) $280-million integrated cement plant at Kimpese, in Bas-Congo province, is on target for commissioning by the end of 2016. The team is moving to the next phase of construction, as the civil work was scheduled for completion by the end of September 2015. Structural steel work and mechanical erection have begun on the preheater tower, kiln piers, clinker cooler, incoming material conveyors, raw material stackers and reclaimers, as well as the crushers.
