Competition for oil and gas production in Africa steps up

Many countries in Africa remain a beacon for investment in the oil and gas industry, with around 8% of the world’s untapped proven oil reserves on the continent, said PwC Africa Oil and Gas Advisory leader Chris Bredenhann. Speaking at a South African National Energy Association (Sanea) meeting, in Cape Town, he said six out of the ten largest oil and gas finds in 2013 were made in Africa.
