 Abstract: Atlas Copco is the first compressor manufacturer globally to receive ISO 22000 certification by Lloyds Register for its production facility in Antwerp, Belgium, where the company manufactures its state-of-the-art oil-free air compressors, blowers and air treatment products. Food and beverage processing are only two of numerous other applications found in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging, chemical and petrochemical processing, electronics and textile manufacturing, automotive paint spraying as well as medical diligences where 100% oil-free air is crucial to avoid any risk of end-product contamination. In such purity-critical compressed-air applications, contamination by even the smallest quantities of oil can result in damaged products or product batches, high rejection rates and returns, costly production downtime and cleanup.
